-= Leading Design at Una =-

As the Product Director for UK startup Una Tickets I was tasked with leading the company in all matters of design, presentation, and experience. It was my responsibility to form the company's identity, it's brand, and to shape the digital experience to create a market leading and completely unique online ticket buying application.

 

-= Mobile Ticketing =-

The customer experience extended to cross-platform mobile applications designed to enable a secure digital ticketing capability and allow personal ticket management on the fly.

 

-= Marketing & Promotion =-

Once the branding and product designs had been finalised I was tasked with producing a promotional video to advertise and surmise the product. The video was written and cast in house, and shot and edited by a wonderful agency Clearhead

Once the video was underway we were able to begin work on the customer and client facing websites and the corporate brochure that would go out to potential new clients.

-= Back-office Operations =-

As well as the customer facing aspect there was a significant proportion of work to be done on the internal systems that would facilitate the customer experience. As such, I was also tasked with producing designs for bespoke back-office systems which would manage all of the company's processes and sales activity. These systems would not only run all of Una's operations but would also be a control centre for our b2b clients. The back-office systems included functions such as dashboard, reporting, sales management, seat allocation, user management, and much more.

In addition there was a number of other unique design challenges such as a bespoke access control application to manage ticket holders entering and leaving events, static and mobile box office solutions, and also the onsite cashless payments terminals which would serve both clients and ticket holders for live onsite transactions with a customer's virtual wallet.

-= A Success Story =-

The Una ticketing system was such a unique robust end-to-end service that it drew immense attention from the public and the ticketing industry itself. Una saw multiple offers for acquisition and was ultimately acquired by Sky UK (details can be found here at CMU and here at IQ). The company was acquired pre-revenue based on the expertise in-house and the strength of the product we had designed. After spending some time with Sky Tickets as the Head of Product, to aid the transition and provide a plan for the future, I have since moved on and working on projects where I can add the most value.
